Course Description

The eight-week curriculum includes self-study exercises and a weekly Trail huddle on Zoom. Nervous about a big event? Grappling with everyday stressors? The True Nature method will equip you with the tools to approach your current circumstances with calm and confidence.

Progressing on the True Nature Trail, which follows an analogy of a hike in nature, you'll discard beliefs and habits which no longer serve you. In their place, you will develop supportive practices and practical mental reminders. These guide you to choose thoughts and perspectives that tap into your ambition, and align with your commitments in life. Course exercises encourage you to focus on thoughts that support your growth, fulfillment, and happiness. We also incorporate exercises in this online course to ground you in the wisdom of nature, while discovering and reflecting on your own true nature.

You experience a bond with the natural world, which opens and expands your own awareness. Your trust in your self will deepen, an enduring gift that extends far beyond the course's conclusion.

I have been fascinated by nature since I was barely old enough to climb a tree. I would pick from a few favorite climbing trees in the yard where I grew up in southeastern Massachusetts and sit there, observing a different perspective of the world. Since then, I’ve been climbing mountains and wandering through forests in North, Central, and South America, continuing to deepen my appreciation for nature, of which we are part.

Today, I help people reconnect with inner wisdom and peace of mind through their personal experiences in nature. Though I relish outdoor adventure such as climbing a challenging mountain, I believe the most rewarding adventure of a lifetime is to look within and know who we really are, and discover what we are capable of.

 

My background as a coach includes coaching leadership and communication courses as a volunteer for close to seven years before opening my own coaching practice in 2019. Since then, I’ve led programs on dating and relationships, and career-focused programs for those seeking purpose and meaning in their work.

I am also a student of Buddhist wisdom, Taoism, shamanic healing, and have had a meditation practice since 2013. The mind-training exercises in The True Nature Trail are a direct result of my own exploration and practice. I’ve synthesized the most beneficial insights of my self-study and experience guiding clients into the mind-training exercises and teachings in the course.

We are each powerful beyond measure, and we begin to know this when we shine the light within. We do have a say in the quality of every aspect of our life. Yet we so often forget this core truth, especially when struggling.
